Norm Perry Memorial Duck Race
The Norm Perry Memorial Duck Race is a favourite annual event for the Rotary Club of Ayr and the wider Burdekin community.
In the lead-up to race day, our members can be found throughout the district selling numbered plastic ducks. Then everyone gathers at Plantation Park to watch the ducks race from the bridge to the finish line.
It is a relaxed and enjoyable day for all ages, with plenty of cheering, a barbecue lunch and cold drinks. Best of all, the money raised is shared between two worthy causes in our local community.
Events like the Duck Race reflect what Rotary is all about: supporting Ayr and the Burdekin, helping communities around the world and building friendships while working together.
